The Administrative and Consular Section deals with all matters related to passports, visa and judicial affairs and also all administrative matters concerning the Embassy.

Passport appointments must be booked online. All consulates/vice-consulates in the UK accept passport applications for children under 12.

In case of a lost or stolen passport, one should also submit the following documents:

• Police report (the theft should be reported to a Police Station in the locality where the passport was stolen) or Crime Reference Number.
• A declaration must be completed at the Embassy stating the circumstances under which the passport was lost/stolen.
• The applicants original Birth Certificate + 2 copies. If his/her Civil Registration Number does not appear on your Birth Certificate the applicant must produce further ID such as a Danish Driving Licence or Danish Health Insurance Identity Card.
• Photo-ID.

Passports are issued in Denmark and take approximately 3-4 weeks to process. The fee is £110.00 cash only.

Visa applications take 15 days to process calculated from the date when the application is received at the Embassy. Please note that for applications handed in in Manchester or Edinburgh this date is usually 3-4 working days after the application date. Applications handed in in London are usually received at the Embassy the next working day). Some applications may require further processing, which could take from 30-60 days.

The Danish authorities recognize the brown Certificate of Identity or the black Certificate of Travel issued by the Home Office as a valid document for travel to Denmark, but a visa is required. The visa application will be sent to the Danish Immigration Service in Copenhagen and the processing is likely to take up to 60 days.

Please note that the Embassy accepts payment in cash only. No cards are accepted.
