Embassy's assistance to Danish citizens in Germany includes a wide range of services, such as issuing emergency travel documents, obtaining and issuing of certificates, declarations, assistance in family law matters, authentications, money transfers, assisting hospitalization, arrest, imprisonment, abduction, displacement, deaths and cases involving serious crimes against the Danes.

If the applicant has lost the Danish passport, he/she must bring with them a police report, when applying for an emergency passport/replacement passport. Furthermore a declaration must be filled in at the Embassy stating the circumstances under which the passport was lost/stolen. If you have obtained Danish nationality after you were born, you must bring your certificate of Danish nationality.

The Embassy can legalize German documents for use in Denmark if the document has first been legalized by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Certain types of documents can be endorsed with an Apostille; these documents are immediately useable in Denmark as both German and Denmark are parties to the Apostille Convention.

Due to Germany's participation in the Schengen co-operation, German citizens and holders of German Alien's passports are able to travel freely within the entire Schengen area, including Denmark, for up to 90 days.
