Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Issues passports, driving licenses;
• Deals with citizenship matters;
• Issues birth, marriage certificates;
• Allows Czech citizens to participate in national elections;
• Provides the translation of documents;
• Assists Czech citizens in cases of emergency.

In case of lost or stolen passport of the Czech Republic or any identification document, it should be immediately reported to the municipal office which issued the lost/stolen document or to the Embassy. A police report must also be obtained.  

The Czech Republic is a member of EU and the Schengen Area. EU/EEA and Swiss passports must be valid during the stay in the Czech Republic. Citizens of the EU, Iceland, Norway, Lichtenstein, and Switzerland may travel to the Czech Republic without visa. Non-EU nationals with valid residence permit in Sweden and other EU Member States, Iceland, Norway, Lichtenstein, and Switzerland, do not need a visa for a tourist trip to the Czech Republic for a period of maximum 90 days.  

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
