Aim of the Embassy is to provide reliable and comprehensive information, to foster further development of friendly relations between the two nations and facilitate co-operation in every field of contacts between Poland and the Czech Republic.
Consular services provided by the Embassy:
- Consular protection for EU citizens;
- Issuance of passports;
- Issuance of visas;
- Czech citizenship matters;
- Assistance in cases of emergency.
In case of lost or stolen passport of the Czech Republic or any identification document, it should be immediately reported to the municipal office which issued the lost/stolen document or to the Embassy. A police report must also be obtained.
Citizens of the EU (including Poland), Iceland, Norway, Lichtenstein and Switzerland may stay temporarily in the Czech Republic/Schengen area without a visa. Citizens of other countries may require a visa to visit Czech Republic.
Basic supporting documents to the visa application are:
- Purpose of stay;
- Application form;
- Photograph;
- Travel document;
- Financial means;
- Accommodation;
- Travel medical insurance.
Czech diplomatic missions collect fees mostly in EUR or in local or other currency in accordance with the exchange rate applicable for the relevant month.
The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
