Priorities of the Czech Embassy in Oslo are to develop the bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and Norway and between the Czech Republic and Iceland; to conduct a political dialogue on foreign and security policy, including dialogue on the Norway-EU relations, and to support Iceland's integration into the EU; to develop economic and trade contacts with both countries, to look for investment opportunities; to promote the Czech Republic; to provide consular services to Czech nationals; to implement and support Czech projects financed from the Norwegian/EEA funds; to encourage cooperation in the fields of science.

Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Legalization of documents;
• Issuance of passports;
• Consular assistance to Czech nationals;
• Issuance of birth, marriage, death certificates.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Oslo informs that from January 1, 2011, applications for the visa to enter the Czech Republic and application for the long-term and permanent residency in the Czech Republic can be lodged only at visa sections of the Embassies of these Embassies of the Czech Republic in the Schengen area: Athens, Berlin, Bratislava, Madrid, Stockholm, Warsaw and Vienna.

Norwegian nationals do not require a visa to travel to the Czech Republic for a stay of up to 90 days in any 180 days period).

EU citizens and nationals of Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Switzerland holding a travel document or a national ID card may reside in the territory of the Czech Republic on a temporary basis without any additional permit.
