The mission of the Embassy of Chile in Austria is:

• Representing the Chilean State before the Austrian State.
• Representing with concurrent accreditation the State of Chile before the Slovenian State.
• Representing with concurrent accreditation the State of Chile before the Slovakian State.
• Strengthening the bilateral relations between Chile and these States.
• Representing Chile before the International Organisms with headquarters in Austria.

In order to meet these objectives the Embassy of Chile In Austria is responsible the carrying out initiatives in the field of the political bilateral relations with the Governments of Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, pursuing the fulfillment of the objectives established  by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In this sense, it is incumbent on it to establish relations with the political, legislative, economic and cultural authorities of these countries, with the purpose of promoting national interests.

The bilateral agenda includes matters specially interesting to the country and where they share the same approach with these three countries, such as the protection of the environment, natural resources management, energy, technology transfer, food safety, the fight against terrorism and drug trafficking, disarmament and human security, among others.

It is incumbent upon this Diplomatic Mission to collaborate in the trade and economic promotion in these three countries, through fostering programs and projects, strengthening the commercial insertion of Chile in Central Europe. It is this mission's responsibility to support before these three member countries of the European Union matters that is their responsibility before the EU.

This Embassy collaborates with Chilean persons and institutions requiring its assistance to contact national authorities of these three countries.
