Consular services provided by the Embassy:

  • Issuance of visas;
  • Issuance of passports;
  • Legalization of documents;
  • Issuance of birth, marriage, death certificates;
  • Assistance in cases of emergency.

In case of loss, theft or destruction of a Brazilian passport, it should be immediately reported to the Brazilian authority that issued the passport or the nearest Brazilian Embassy or Consulate. It is also recommended to keep a photocopy of a passport which helps when applying for a new passport.

Tourist visa requirements for Saudi Arabian citizens who want to visit Brazil:

  • Visa application form.
  • One recent photo 3x4 cm, front view, white background.
  • Applicant's original passport, valid for no less than 6 months, with at least two blank pages.
  • Copy of the passport identification pages.
  • Saudi or Yemeni residence visa with copy (non-residents must apply for the visa in person).
  • Company letter head from sponsor stating the applicant's position in the company, wage and purpose of trip.
  • Confirmation of hotel reservation (name, address and telephone number) or copy of the notarized (by notary public) invitation letter from the person who is hosting ("carta-convite com assinatura reconhecida em cartorio") if staying at someone's house.
  • If self-employed, trade license from the company and company letter head informing the ownership.
  • Applicant's personal bank statement stamped by the bank for the last three months.
  • Copy of round-trip booked itinerary (reservation, no need to buy the ticket) showing travel to and from Brazil (informing passenger's name, itinerary, flight number and arrival/departure dates).
  • For minors (under 18 years of age) it is needed written authorization of the parents for the issuance of the visa and it must be either signed in front of Brazilian consular authority or attested by the embassy of origin.
  • The Embassy may request additional information/documentation as deemed necessary.

Applicant's consular request will be met between 25 to 30 working days counted from the date that all required documents have been presented to the Embassy.

No cash accepted at the Embassy. Payment can be made:

  • directly at the Embassy, by Debit/ATM Card only;
  • deposit at Samba Bank, account number 1908189, IBAN-SA76400000000000;
  • if applicant uses DHL to send the papers, directly to DHL upon the delivery of the service.
