In case of loss or theft of Brazilian documents, it should be immediately reported to the local police. Original or copy of the police report of the occurence of loss/theft of passport must be presented to the Embassy when applying for a new passport.

Citizens of Norway do not need a visa to visit Brazil as tourists for stays up to 90 days. Citizens of other countries may require a visa to enter Brazil as tourists. Duration of stay in Brazil is 90 days. An extension for another 90 days can be applied for at any Department of Federal Police precinct in Brazil, before the visa expires. The maximum duration of stay in Brazil for a tourist visa holder is 180 days per year, regardless of the visa duration
A foreign citizen can be prevented to enter Brazil or to remain in the country if this is considered to be in the interest of the nation by a decision of the Ministry of Justice and executed by the Federal Police.

Visa issuance process may take a few weeks.

All fees must be paid by bank transfer or with debit card, if in person.
