The consular fee is EUR 18,00 per signature to be legalised. When there are more than three (3) documents bundled together by the Notary Public and relating to the same physical or juridical person the consular fee is EUR 54,00 per bundled document. All consular fees should be through internet banking or paid in cash at any branch of Nordea Bank, using a bank slip supplied by the Consular Section.
Processing time: 5 working days from confirmation of the payment of consular fee.
NOTE: The Consular Section does not legalise translations.
It was published in the Federal Official Gazette on 8 October 2012 the agreement with the European Union and the Federative Republic of Brazil on short-stay visa waiver for holders of ordinary passports. Thus the visa exception agreement with the European Union has entered into force in Brazil. It means that Estonian citizens traveling to Brazil on tourism or business purposes no longer require a visa to enter in Brazil.
Visas can be applied in person, by mail or through travel agencies depending on the type of the visa. The kind of visa to be applied for depends on the purpose of the applicant's trip to Brazil. Permanent visas are for immigration purposes, while temporary visas are for non-Brazilian citizens envisaging shorter stays in Brazil. Temporary visas have validity in time depending on the category of the visa and on Governmental agreements, if any, between Brazil and the country of the applicant's nationality.
When traveling to Brazil, the passport has to be valid for no less than six months at the moment of travel, also for citizens of the visa exempted countries.
