Belgian Embassy in Netherlands provides these consular services:

• Registration of Belgian citizens abroad to the population register;
• Issuance of ID cards;
• Issuance of Belgian passports;
• Notarial services;
• Issuance of civil status certificates (birth, giving a name, divorce, acknoledgement of parentage, marriage, death, intercountry adoption, cohabitation);
• Nationality matters;
• Issuance of criminal records;
• Acceptance of applications for Belgian pensions;
• Matters related to social security abroad;
• Issuance of visas.

If a Belgian passport was lost or stolen, Belgian citizen must:

• Call Doc-Stop to cancel his/her passport and protect himself/herself against any fraudulent use of his/her identity: +32 2 518 2123.
• Notify the local police about the loss/theft immediately. Ask for a statement confirming the loss/theft.
• If a Belgian citizen needs a passport to return to Belgium, he/she can contact the Belgian embassy in the country.
• If a Belgian citizen has been unable to notify the local police about the loss/theft while he/she was abroad, he/she should do so with police station as soon as he/she returns to Belgium.

Belgium tourist visa is not required for citizens of Netherlands for a stay up to 90 days. Nationals of most third countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) are under an obligation to hold a visa for a tourism stay of a maximum duration of 3 months on the territory of the SCHENGEN States. It is recommended to apply fro visas at the earliest 3 months before the planned journey.
