The Embassy provides the following consular services:

• Issues visas;
• Deals with matters related to Belarusian citizenship;
• Registers Belarusian citizens abroad;

• Registers and issues civil status certificates;
• Provides the inquired documents from the Republic of Belarus to Belarusian citizens, foreign citizens and stateless persons.

On July 1, 2014 the new procedure and conditions of the obligatory medical insurance of foreign citizens and stateless persons travelling to the Republic of Belarus and temporarily residing in the Republic of Belarus will be introduced. The visa applicants should submit the obligatory medical insurance policy of the Belarusian enterprises "Belgosstrakh" or "Beleximgarant", foreign medical insurance policy, medical insurance card or other document that confirms its existence.

To obtain a visa the following should be submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy:

• Passport (A passport should have at least one blank visa page and should be valid for at least 90 days upon conclusion of the trip);
• Application form;
• One passport size photograph (45 mm x 35 mm);
• Proof of payment (a bank receipt or a printout from an internet banking system);
• Visa support documents (depends on a visa type);
• Obligatory medical insurance policy of the Belarusian companies "Belgossreakh" or "Beleximgarant" or foreign medical insurance policy or medical insurance card valid in Belarus;
• Other documents;
• If applying by post - self-addressed prepaid envelope (green stamp "Aangetekende Brief").

Visa processing starts only after all necessary documents are submitted and a consular fee is paid in full. The period of temporary stay of foreign citizens in Belarus is determined by the duration of their Belarusian visa and can not be more than 90 days a year, starting from the date of entry in Belarus. If staying at private premises travelers should get registered within 5 business days with local field office of the Department on Citizenship and Migration. If staying in a hotel, this will be arranged by the hotel services.

In case of passport loss/theft, the following documents are required: a statement indicating the circumstances of the loss or theft of a passport, document issued by the police of the Netherlands, confirming the fact of the loss or theft of a passport. Passport processing time is up to 3 months.

Consular fee for any kind of consular operation must be paid by bank wire transfer to the bank account of the Embassy. No cash, bank (credit or pin) cards or cheques are acceptable.
