In case Austrian passport is lost or stolen while abroad, it should be immediately reported to the local police and the nearest Austrian Embassy must be contacted as well. Austrian Embassy can issue an emergency passport.
Swedish citizens and citizens of other EU countries can enter Austria with a valid travel document and stay within the country for up to three months for tourism or private purposes. The travel document must be valid during the entire stay and on the exit. A longer period of validity is not required.
The Embassy is closed on Austrian public holidays.
