Why Choose Our School?

Image of Private School / Preschool in Los AngelesFirst and foremost, Centers of Learning is committed to providing its students with an academic experience that encompasses their whole development—academic, spiritual and physical. The program is designed to foster critical thinking and inquiry and provide experiences where knowledge gained is also applied.

At the heart of the school’s success is the strength of the relationships developed between students and teachers. High academic expectations are set in a supportive and encouraging environment that seeks to identify and cultivate each student’s areas of strength with the goal of producing not only fine students, but young men and women of character.

Asked to comment on their experience at Centers of Learning, our alumni attest to the excellent preparation they have received, resulting in successful college careers and life-long relationships with their teachers and fellow students.

Character Development:

Our goal together as a school community is to become men and women of integrity and character. Students are asked to apply principles of respect, kindness, honesty, and communication in their daily relationships with peers, teachers, and other adults. Responsibility is taught through service opportunities in the school and community.

We encourage our older students to set examples and act as role models for our younger students. We hope to develop in each student an appreciation for his or her own unique worth, as well as an honoring of the worth of others.

Community Service:
As part of Centers of Learning's curriculum, we endeavor to teach responsibility for the family, for the church, for the school and for the community. Therefore, students from first grade through high school are involved each year in giving to the community. Community service activities include visiting skilled nursing facilities, volunteering at local food banks, organizing food and clothing drives, and participating in other community outreach opportunities.
