The Children's House Lake Meadows provides distinct and proven Early Education Experience Programs for children of 6 weeks through 12 years of age. The Children's House is privately owned, and currently operates 4 facilities in the State of Illinois, in Chicago City, Park Forest and Markham. We are fully licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. We employ only qualified teachers and teachers aides, and keep our class sizes small to provide your child with a comfortable environment that is conductive to learning.

At the Children's House, our educational goals ensure that children learn in an atmosphere where growth, exploration and discovery are possible. Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate and teacher initiated. It is a distinct and proven experience for children ages 6 weeks through to 12 years. The curriculum allows for children's individuality, independence and decision making skills to be enhanced.
Monthly themes are included in the curriculum, as well as corresponding weekly units. Additionally, the children will learn of various cultures and customs throughout the U.S. and abroad.Our children are very busy through out the day. Each day, they participate in planning time, activity time, circle time, small-group time, outside time, clean-up time and reflective time.
Our staff are trained to accept your child's curiosity as his or her own greatest resource for learning. In addition, our philosophy provides for the recognition of inappropriate behavior and the ability for all students to "self-correct" as opposed to the traditional time-out or redirection process.
It is our goal to offer an exceptionally well rounded educational program that provides your child with opportunities to achieve socially, intellectually, physically, psychologically, as well as emotionally. While we can never replace parents / guardians, it is our philosophy to provide an environment that is exemplary of "The Children's House Away From Home."

Child's Play Touring Theatre, based in Chicago, Illinois, is a private touring theatre company offering workshops, residencies, after school programs, and summer camps across the USA. Child's Play Touring Theatre travels all over the country performing stories and poems written by children. Our mission is to share, encourage and validate the creativity of children by performing original works of theatre, music, and dance adapted from literature written by young authors. Through performances, workshops and intensive residencies, Child's Play is a touring company that has reached an audience of over 4.2 million children, teachers and parents in 38 states. Located in Blue Island, a south suburb of Chicago in Cook County, IL, St. Benedict Elementary School is a private, co-educational, Catholic school, serving 178 students in grades PK-8. We provide early childhood education serving families throughout Woodlawn, Englewoood, Evergereen Park, South Shore and South Chicago. Penny Lane plays a major role in guiding children's development and providing them with experiences that nurture their social, cognitive and physical abilities. Lincoln Park Preschool (LPP) is a private, early childhood program / day care center located on W. Belden Avenue, at Belden and Lincoln Park West in Chicago, Cook County, IL. We have another school, Lincoln Park Preparatory School, located at Germania and Clark Street – just south of North Avenue in the city. Our early childhood programs (for children ages 2 - 6 years) primary focus is the growth and well being of the child. We provide this best by having a warm, open, nurturing atmosphere that is conducive to learning.Our school is a place where children can develop self-confidence and build a commitment to learning. They take part in discovery-based activities that are developmentally appropriate. We provide a healthy balance between teacher-directed and child-directed activities.
Children are encouraged to build upon problem solving skills, as well as their creativity and socialization skills. Our teachers take into account the individuality of each child. Activities that are stimulating to the child’s imagination and creative development can then be provided.

Allendale Association is a private, not-for-profit social service agency serving troubled teens / adolescents and children with moderate to profound emotional and behavioral disabilities. We are located in Lake Villa in north-western Lake County, Illinois. These youth and their families receive care and treatment through Allendale's residential treatment programs, day treatment special education schools or from our community based clinical programs and services. Allendale serves over 700 children, youth and families annually. These children, often victims of abuse, neglect or severe mental illness, come to Allendale with the devastating experiences of failure in the classroom, misunderstanding in the home and isolation in the community. Our programs serve both male and female adolescents and kids ranging in age from eight to eighteen who are experiencing a wide variety of problems.
The more common "labels" are conduct disorder, emotional / behavioral disability, oppositional defiant disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, post traumatic stress, anxiety disorders, pervasive developmental disorders, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders.
