Summer Camp:
Our summer camp is a smaller, cozier version of the school year program with weekly and one-time visits by specialists. The summer program has many of our regular preschool features including Judaic content. The 2009 season will build on the curriculum that we've developed over the last four summers with an emphasis on the Outdoors and Child-initiated Inquiry.

The relaxed pace of summer also allows children time to take on "real work" such as framing and hanging their art pieces or planning and making snack. Summer is aso a time to "move up" to the age group that a child will be joining in September. (If your child comes for the summer only, they will be placed with peers). For children starting at the Preschool in September, camp is a wonderful "warm-up" for the fall when selecting one or more of our sessions.

Our children test, on average, approximately two years above grade level.

Each child progresses on an individual basis within a social setting that is compatible for him / her. Our staff are creative, caring, educated, and enthusiastic in what they do. At Heritage, we want our children to grow into independent problem solvers and caring, responsible citizens. The Montessori Method has been time-tested for over 100 years and has achieved worldwide success.

Our teachers prepare the environment with a series of sequential, manipulative and sensorial materials that ultimately bridge the gap between concrete and abstract learning. Young Actors Studio, Los Angeles
Courses / Programs
At The Young Actor's Studio in Los Angeles, we offer acting lessons for children, teenagers and young adults. We offer a full conservatory day or a choice of classes for young actors in 3 age groups: 4-6, 7-12, 13 and up. Classes include comedy improvisation, acting for the camera, acting technique, theater production and scene study and originally commissioned plays. We also offer summer camps. Our faculty includes Jeff Alan Lee, a 20 year child acting teacher of such young actors as Scarlett Johansson and Shia LaBeouf.

The classes at our studio are centered around praising each student for who they are and teaching them to use their own behavior, personality, and charm in their roles. They learn to create a unique, original character that is truly their own. In our acting classes, we teach the student to trust themselves to live naturally and effortlessly on camera, or on stage. Through the Stanislavski system, the child, teen or young adult gains a strong confidence that can be applied to all areas of life. The young actor develops a love for the work, and with this, the ability to survive and work as an actor, if that becomes his or her choice.
