CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults):
The University of Cambridge CELTA is the only independently moderated TEFL training certificate and is highly regarded by employers round the world. CELTA provides practical teaching experience, where trainees learn by doing.

The CELTA course provides initial teacher training, leading to a Certificate in English language Teaching to Adults. CELTA is ideal for people without previous teaching experience who want to teach English as a Foreign Language (EFL). CELTA provides further training for PGCE / Cert Ed teachers with no previous training in English as a Foreign Language (EFL). CELTA is popular with overseas qualified teachers who want to update their methodology and learn about new teaching strategies.

CELTYL & YL Extension:

- Certificate in English Language Teaching to Young Learners (CELTYL): 4 weeks
The CELTYL course provides initial teacher training, leading to a Certificate in English Language Teaching for Young Learners. CELTYL is ideal for people with some teaching experience, or who want to teach English as a Foreign Language (ELF) to young people.

- YL Extension: 2 weeks
University of Cambridge YL Extension is for practising teachers who want to extend their expertise or gain a specific, recognised qualification for young learners. For successful YL Extension candidates, CELTA holders' certificates will be upgraded by UCLES, other teachers will be awarded a certificate of achievement.

DELTA (Diploma in English Language Teaching for Adults):
The DELTA provides further training and consolidation to Diploma level for existing teachers of English.

Course modules:
All DELTA modules are externally accredited by the University of Cambridge and cover a variety of topics and methodologies.
- Module One focuses on the background to teaching and learning.
- Module Two focuses on developing professional practice.
