Greystone College, Toronto:
Greystone College offers a 12-week TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) diploma course in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Our TESOL certification program is recognized by TESL Canada. The objective of our teacher training program is to provide trainees with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be successful ESL/EFL teachers. The course is open to both Canadian and international students.

The Greystone College TESOL diploma in Toronto is accredited by TESL Canada - a national organization dedicated to advancing communication and coordinating awareness of issues for those concerned with English as a second language and English skills development.

TESL Canada unifies teachers and learners by providing a forum and network capabilities, promotes advocacy for ESL learners, represents diverse needs and interests in TESL nationally and internationally and supports the sharing of knowledge and experiences across Canada.

The 12-week TESOL diploma course consists of 30 hours of classes per week. Each student will observe 10 or more hours of ESL classes, will spend time with a mentor teacher, and will teach their own class for at least 10 hours as their final practicum, under the supervision of a sponsor teacher. Our TESOL course focuses on a high degree of interaction between instructor and students. 

Students who successfully complete this program may apply for TESL Canada’s Professional Standard Two certification, provided they meet language and education requirements. They will also have the option to take the internationally-recognized Cambridge University TKT exam which is a test from Cambridge ESOL about teaching English to speakers of other languages.

- Grade 12 graduation or GED, or mature student status
- A university degree is recommended
- Native English speakers will have a preliminary grammar review quiz and interview
- International students must demonstrate an advanced level of English with our online written test and arranged speaking interview (online written test may be waived if currently in an ILSC Intermediate 4 level or higher)

Location:
The Toronto campus of Greystone College is located in a brand new building at 443 University Avenue in the heart of downtown Toronto. We share the space with ILSC-Toronto (International Language Schools of Canada) and the new building has 43 modern classrooms, 2 computer labs and 2 Internet Café's.

Greystone College Toronto is a wireless campus and students with wireless-enabled laptop computers will be able to access the internet via the wireless network. There are an overwhelming number of things to see and do all within a short walk from the Greystone College Toronto downtown campus.
