The Academy for English Language Teachers (registered with the Council for Private Education, Singapore) is a teacher training institute located in the Central Business District of Singapore. We offer certificate and diploma TESOL / TEFL courses for both Singaporean & international students. Our TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) / TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) courses include:

Advanced TESOL Diploma (Part-time: 12 months / 6 months):
This Advanced TESOL Diploma is an internationally recognized qualification. It is awarded by the Global TESOL College in Canada. This program is designed for trainee who is new to English teaching and intends to embark on a career in the teaching of English to Speakers of Other Language. This program will equip the trainee with the necessary skills and knowledge as an English teacher. In addition this learning experience will provide them with opportunity to obtain the necessary recognized qualifications for their career advancement.

Course Duration:
* Part-Time:  Once a week for 12 months and twice a week for 6 months.

Diploma in TESOL (Full-time: 6 weeks / part-time: 6 months):
The Diploma in TESOL is for trainees who have an interest in pursuing a career in the teaching of English. This is a taught programme combining a high level of theory with a range of opportunities to demonstrate your competencies as a teacher. It combines academic study, teaching and teacher management. It also provides you with the proper tools needed to help you embark on your career as an English teacher or, for experience teachers; it gives you the chance to enhance your teaching skills and to obtain a qualification for career advancement.

Course Duration:
* Full-Time:  Monday to Friday for 6 weeks.
* Part-Time:  Once a week for 6 months.

Professional TESOL Diploma (Part-time: 18 months / 12 months):
This Professional TESOL Diploma is an internationally recognized qualification. It is awarded by the Global TESOL College in Canada. This program is designed for trainee who is new to English teaching and intends to embark on a career in the teaching of English to Speakers of Other Language. This program will equip the trainee with the necessary skills and knowledge as an English teacher. In addition this learning experience will provide them with opportunity to obtain the necessary recognized qualifications for their career advancement.

Course Duration:
* Part-Time:  Once a week for 18 months and twice a week for 12 months.

Foundation TESOL Certificate (Part-time: 6 weeks):
The Global TESOL College's Foundation course has been developed for people who have never taught, teachers who want to break into the dynamic field of teaching overseas or for those who want to upgrade their abilities. Students have the option of taking the internationally recognized Foundation course in class. Our programs have been so successful at helping our graduates start their teaching careers abroad.

The Global TESOL College Foundation course is your practical, user-friendly yet comprehensive introduction to the exciting world of teaching English.

Course Duration:
* Part-Time:  Twice a week for 6 weeks.

Certificate in TEFL (Part-time: 6 weeks):
(EDI Level 4 Cert TEFL)

The Cert TEFL is a Level 4 qualification (UK NQF equivalent) designed for those people who have little or no experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) but who wish to embark on a career as an EFL teacher. The EDI Cert TEFL is a highly practical course designed to provide candidates with the initial skills they need for teaching English to adult students of other languages.

* Part-Time:  Twice a week for 6 weeks.

Certificate in TESOL (Part-time: 6 weeks):
This Certificate in TESOL course has been specially designed for people with little or no previous teaching experience. Our Certificate in TESOL program is highly practical and comprehensive to provide candidates with the necessary level of competence or skill they need for to start their teaching careers overseas. Candidates are assessed throughout the course with written assignments and teaching practice, with no final examination.
