Our TEFL course is essentially practical in nature, with just enough theory to provide sound principles on which to base your practice. In the morning, there are input sessions on the skills and methods of teaching and on language awareness. The afternoon consists of guided lesson preparation, teaching practice observed by a trainer, and feedback on your teaching.

TEFL Corinth is affiliated with TEFL International, one of the world's largest TEFL certification providers. Our certification is recognised worldwide, and our TEFL course provides thorough preparation for the realities of the classroom. Teaching practice is provided with students of all levels and ages, including children and teenagers as well as adults.

Our training center is ideally located in spacious, air-conditioned premises in the center of Corinth. We have a large training room which doubles as the main teaching practice room in the afternoon. This is fully-equipped with whiteboard, TV & video, CD & cassette player and overhead projector. The second training room has a single round table for working with smaller classes. We have an extensive resource library. Additional spaces are available for working with individuals or small groups. There is also space to relax in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere.

You are invited to make free use of all facilities at the school during your stay here. Use our computers or bring your own laptop to use on our wireless network.

We provide accommodation in Vrahati, a seaside village 20 minutes from the training center.

The main house has three single and two double rooms, accommodating a total of seven people. There are two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine, and a communal lounge. The whole house has wireless internet access. In addition to the balconies surrounding the house, there’s also a large garden furnished with chairs and sun beds and a barbeque. The rooms are cleaned and sheets are changed weekly.

The house is two minutes’ walk from the center of the village, with all the facilities such as shops, post office, banks, bus station and taxi rank. It’s ten minutes’ walk from the beach. Vrahati has excellent beaches, awarded with the European Union's Blue Flag, and is a busy resort in the summer. It's a center for nightlife, with lots of cafes, restaurants, bars and night clubs, but still relatively unspoilt.

Other apartments in the area are rented according to demand, enabling all trainees to make use of the facilities at the main house. Rooms in the main house are allocated on a first-come, first served basis, so we recommend you book as early as possible.

A shared room (one large bedroom with either two single beds or a double bed for a couple) is included in the all-inclusive fee. Single rooms are available for 100 euros extra. Accommodation is provided from 6pm on the Saturday before each course until noon on the Saturday at the end of each course. Extra days' accommodation, where available, is charged at ten euros per night.

Transport to the training center every day in our own minibus is also included in the fee. We leave the house at 8.45 in the morning, arriving at the training center around 9.05 and the first morning session starts at 9.30. We leave the training center at 8.00 in the evening.

The TEFL Corinth training center is located in the center of Corinth, a seaside town 50 miles west of Athens. Conveniently situated 50 miles from Athens, Corinth is the gateway to the Peloponnese, an area rich in natural beauty and historical sites. Ancient Corinth is an important archaeological site, and above the ancient town towers Acrocorinth, a fortress used throughout the middle ages by Byzantine, Venetian and Turkish occupiers.

The modern city of Corinth has all the facilities to make your stay enjoyable, including numerous outdoor cafes, bars and restaurants, several beaches, and services such as travel agencies, banks and shops. There are excellent transport connections, with buses to Athens every hour, and frequent trains and buses connecting Corinth to the surrounding villages.

Corinth is an excellent base for touring, set among many unspoilt beach resorts. Loutraki is a spa town renowned for its clear blue sea. Vrahati, where we provide accommodation, is one of the many smaller coastal villages that combine relaxing days on the beach with vibrant nightlife. The stunning sites of Mycenae, Argos, Nafplio and Nemea are all close by, as is the theatre of Epidavros, where ancient tragedies are performed during the summer festival.
