Should you want to learn some Mandarin Chinese during your time in China, you could attend a language program either before or after your TEFL course. Beijing is a large city, stretching 180 kilometers from north to south and 160 kilometers from east to west. The estimated total population of the eighteen districts here is 12 million people. Beijing is the center of politics, culture, and international exchange, as well as a large metropolis of industry, finance and trade.

There are a several accommodation options during your TEFL course in Beijing. All accommodation is clean, comfortable and well-equipped.

The first option is a standard local apartment arranged by the school. A single room is US$ 350. This would be in a furnished apartment with two or three bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom; the alternative option is in a shared room, at US$ 250. Again, this is fully furnished, with kitchen and shared bathroom.

Couples coming together and sharing an apartment would receive a 10% discount each on this accommodation option. Please note that you will need to purchase your own sheets, pillows and toiletries. This apartment is about 30 minutes' subway ride from the TEFL training center.

Another option for the TEFL course in Beijing is at Beijing City Central Hostel. There are many hostels in Beijing, but this one has one of the best reviews and is relatively close to the school – about 30 minutes by Subway Line 1.

The last recommended option for accommodation during your TEFL course is at Beijing Mayson Serviced Apartments. These are professional serviced apartments in Beijing for people who are taking a training program, traveling and visiting friends for a short period of time. Amenities include: WIFI, fridge, wash machine, air-conditioner/heating, microwave oven, hot water, 24-hour security, etc.
