Bachelor of Science in Business Management

It prepares you to enter business by teaching you a wide range of necessary skills and knowledge areas needed in the world of business.
Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management
Health care management is an exciting, dynamic and fulfilling career. DBU’s Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Management program is the key to beginning your career. As the U.S. population ages, health care will change with it. New medical advances dictate new policies and procedures. As a member of this important field, you’ll give back both to your community and make a difference to the people you are serving through better management of their health care.
Associate in Applied Science Degree Programs:
Medical Assisting (Diploma Program also available)
DBU’s Medical Assistant program will teach you to give injections, perform a wide range of diagnostic tests, assist physicians with minor surgeries, and handle emergency situations. In addition, you’ll learn medical office skills, methods for scheduling and receiving patients, and techniques for processing insurance claims, patient accounts, and collection forms. Graduates are prepared for careers in doctors’ offices, hospitals, and clinics.
Medical Billing and Coding (Diploma Program also available)
This program will provide medical office training with specialization in medical coding and insurance billing. Students can complete this program in just three academic quarters. You’ll learn the codes used by the healthcare industry for reimbursement. Graduates are ready for careers in hospitals, clinics, doctors’ offices, nursing homes, and home health agencies.
Graphic Design Media
The purpose of this program is to develop the visual, comprehensive and computer skills that students will need to succeed in the graphic design industry. Students will learn to create and customize graphics, photographs, and illustrations; create comprehensive layouts; and take projects from concept through to completion for both print and web applications.
Business Administration
This program will provide knowledge of the fundamental principles of business methods and procedures and prepare students for practical work in bookkeeping and accounting. An Associate in Applied Science degree will provide evidence of competencies in communication, social sciences, humanities and fine arts, analytical and influential reasoning and computational skills as well as the ability to learn on one’s own.
Environmental Health and Safety (Diploma Program also available)
EHS professionals analyze and evaluate work environments as well as design procedures and programs that control hazards to eliminate and prevent disease or injury caused by physical, chemical, and biological agents or ergonomic factors.
Veterinary Technician
Qualified applicants will be challenged by instructors to learn and apply skills relative to veterinary support, client communication, and office management as well as patient care. Through hands-on learning experiences, you’ll gain skills for laboratory work, X-ray procedures, animal handling and nursing, surgical assisting, and much more.
Paralegal Professional
The purpose of this program is to provide comprehensive paralegal training that allows graduates to assume entry-level positions in the field under the supervision of an attorney, assisting in the delivery of legal services.
Human Services
The Human Services degree program is designed to give students a foundation in the theories and skills needed as a human services practitioner. This program combines a thorough study of human service issues, general education courses, and supervised field experiences to provide the student with entry level professional competence in this field. Some human service careers require education beyond an associate degree.
