Conveniently situated in the city centre, The Liverpool School of English provides quality preparation courses for the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam, which is designed to assess the English language proficiency of non-native English speakers. Our IELTS preparation courses are available to students at Pre Intermediate to Advanced (CEF B1-C2) level. You can choose to study from 1-48 weeks and classes start every Monday. The IELTS exam can be arranged at Liverpool University, very close to the school. We also have FREE support classes for all of our students to enhance your learning.

General English with IELTS (Academic English):
Hours per week: 21 hours (15 Standard plus 6 hours of Exam Preparation)
This course is an extension to the standard General English course and aims to prepare students for the IELTS examination, needed to study at University level in the UK. This exam is based around four skills: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The course aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to pass the exam at a high level, and will make students feel confident in taking the IELTS exam.
There are two types of IELTS classes: IELTS foundation, preparing students from level 3.0-5.0 and IELTS preparation preparing students from level 5.0-7.0. The exam preparation lessons are three times per week, and there is also a high level of self study involved. Each week the class does a past paper test, to prepare students for the exam.
