The international marketing perspective incorporating e-marketing techniques, is particularly popular and appealing. Another real advantage is the flexible learning approach of this course which allows you to choose your own mode of study and you can exit with a postgraduate certificate, diploma or masters level qualification. The marketing programme at Aberdeen Business School is focused in improving your career prospects both nationally and internationally along with the opportunity to study a postgraduate level marketing degree at one of the UK's top rated, AMBA approved universities.

Master of Public Administration (MPA)
The MPA degree is an internationally-recognised and well-regarded postgraduate qualification specifically designed for the public service managers and leaders of tomorrow. The MPA programme helps students to develop the capacity to effectively implement the policies and programmes that matter to society whilst dealing with the political, organisational and financial issues that this challenge brings. At RGU, we believe that this is best done through a programme which is specifically designed with the public service practitioner in mind. Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes primarily prepare their graduates for leadership in the private sector. We believe that the political realities and public interest considerations of contemporary public administration require a distinctive approach for a distinctive set of challenges.

The MPA syllabus focuses on the requirements of those involved in a policy or management role within local, national and international public service organisations. Course design was undertaken on the basis of the changing context of the relevant discipline areas and within the context of the current ‘Modernising Government’ agenda. In particular, the changes to the subject matter of public administration and management are broadly those which inform ‘the Third Way’. These include the debate on globalisation, the changing nature of the relationship between state and civil society, including the concept of citizenship, declining confidence in public democratic institutions and the rise of alternative forms of participation; the changing nature of public management and the increasing importance of strategy and leadership; and the emergence of new institutional, partnership and cross-sectoral relationships and their impact upon multi-level governance.

There is a strong emphasis on the development of knowledge in addition to practical understanding and the necessary transferable skills to develop resourceful practitioners. Hence, at all stages on the course the learning outcomes focus not only on knowledge but also on broader transferable skills. The objective is to produce graduates who are resourceful and reflective practitioners.

Woodgrove Tutorials
Courses / Programs
Woodgrove Tutorials are a Gloucester-based, award winning college and online training provider of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB) book-keeping and accounts courses through distance learning / home study. The ICB book-keeping qualifications are hugely beneficial in acquiring employment as a bookkeeper. ICB's aims are to promote bookkeepers to allow them to gain recognition as an integral part of the financial system. The ICB controls this through qualifications and grades of membership which recognise the accomplishments of its members in academia, experience and individual competence.

Although the ICB provide the examination body, they don’t teach the courses themselves. On enrolment, students receive a ‘hard copy’ of course modules from Woodgrove Tutorials (by email and/or post by air mail) and submit assignments online.

Bookkeeping training is vital to any business, whether it be for an employee of a large national company or a self employed businessman, as it monitors the financial transactions of a business daily. It is essential that every business has at least one employee who is trained and qualified in bookkeeping to ensure that the business is run efficiently.
ICB Bookkeeping courses: From beginners through to expert levels:

- ICB Level I Certificate in Basic Bookkeeping

- ICB Level II Certificate in Manual Bookkeeping

- ICB Level III Diploma in Manual Bookkeeping

* Students are sent a ‘hard copy’ of the course modules and are required to submit assignments online.

* The last exam for the ICB Level 1 is taken online.

* External exams for levels II and III can be taken in most countries around the world.
