Augustine Christian Academy, Tulsa:
Augustine Christian Academy (ACA) is a private school located in Tulsa which is in Tulsa County and extends into Osage, Rogers and Wagoner Counties in Oklahoma. It is coeducational and Christian affiliated, serving grades PK-12. Augustine Christian boasts a climate that is truly conducive to the free exchange and development of ideas. At ACA education is built on the best traditions of our academic, intellectual, cultural, and moral heritage, allowing the student to shape their future in a setting that is both challenging and supportive.

Believing the teacher to be the key to a quality education, the teachers and administration develop a curriculum consistent with the philosophy, seeking or creating appropriate materials and books for each class. We offer a classical college preparatory curriculum with college prep SAT and ACT as well as honors and advanced placement courses. To this academic program, students may take on journalism, choir, drama, student leadership etc.

We are accredited by the Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS).

Mission:
Fighting the stereotype of exclusive private education, ACA is committed to making classical education accessible across racial and economic barriers by providing scholarships and eventually establishing schools in areas of our community that do not presently enjoy this choice.

Augustine Christian Academy exists for the following reasons:

Philosophy:
At ACA, we believe it is impossible to teach from a religiously or philosophically neutral position.

We believe the responsibility for the education of children rests with the parents. Education is not merely the transmission of information; it is the formation of the human soul in accordance with the Biblical standard of excellence and view of reality.

It is therefore the responsibility of the parent-teacher to communicate truth clearly in all academic areas, and to seek to motivate the child to search out all things. At the same time, it is incumbent on the child to learn and mature.
