Established in 1894, Havergal College is a preeminent girls' school for 900 students from junior kindergarten to Grade 12, with boarding for 50 Canadian and international students in Grades 9-12. The school's mission is to prepare young women to make a difference in their chosen pursuits by enabling each student to develop her full intellectual, spiritual and physical potential.

Havergal College is located on a 22-acre beautiful green campus, equipped with three playing fields, tennis courts, an outdoor nature trail, an outdoor classroom and a ravine. Located in the northern part of the City of Toronto, it is a short trip to the downtown core. The surrounding area includes shops and restaurants, with two subway stations that are only a short bus ride away.

Our chess lessons can be taught through English and / or Russian. We have various locations throughout the Metro Vancouver Area in Richmond, Burnaby and Vancouver. Chess is a board game and mental sport for two players. It is played on a square board of 8 rows and 8 columns, giving 64 squares of alternating colour, light and dark.
