Based in Wales in the UK, Earth English provides year-round specialist English language courses for environmental and natural resource professionals and students (for individuals, groups, companies, international organizations). Our classes are held primarily in the UK, but we can also teach throughout Europe and globally. As part of the programme, an Earth English teacher will travel to your home, organisation or educational institution deliver intensive or semi-intensive language programmes for your staff or students. 'Free Range' - comprehensive 50-hour course
A comprehensive English language course for environmental and natural resource students and professionals. This 50-hour programme consists of 10 units, each dealing with a general theme. New language is taught and practiced in exercises, tasks and activities in the context of topical materials associated with the theme of the unit.

‘Free Range’ English for environmental and natural resource professionals includes:
- A wide range of technical vocabulary covering a number of relevant themes. The ‘free range’ course book also contains a glossary of more than 500 entries for understanding and reference.
- Explanations of the appropriate grammar and language structures given in clear, straightforward terms. Many points are recycled throughout the course to ensure complete comprehension and correct usage.
- Ready-to-use functional language providing learners with ‘real-life’ phrases to express themselves fluently in different situations.
- Practice in all four language skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing, to allow full competence in English for receptive and productive communication.
- Techniques for communication, such as writing questionnaires, participating in a stakeholders’ meeting, negotiating and many more. These activities give learners the opportunity to practice using the English they have learned in similar situations to what they might experience in their work and studies.
- Topical, engaging texts and audio from reputable sources, as well as original materials designed especially for ‘free range’. As a specialist English course, great care has been taken to select materials which are appropriate for the learners’ langauge level and the disciplines they are involved with.

'Free Range Essential' - intensive 20-hour programme
An intensive course for environmental and natural resource professionals. This course has been designed for managers and people working in environmental organisations to learn a large number of technical terms and functional language in a short period. Sections of the comprehensive ‘free range’ course have been compiled to make this 20-hour programme for professionals with limited time or budget restrictions.

‘Free Range Essential' includes:
- Communicative lessons focussed on 10 general themes of environmental and natural resource management.
- Interesting, topical materials which reflect current issues in the sector.
- Exercises and tasks to teach and practice new language.
- A range of key vocabulary terms taught in the context of each unit.

'In season' - 20-hour holiday course
An English language course for environmental and natural resource students. This 20-hour programme is ideal as a holiday course for undergraduates and postgraduates attending universities and colleges. ‘In season’ can complement a summer university programme focussed on environmental issues and topics. The 10 units of ‘In season’ each consist of communicative tasks and activities to teach a wide range of specialist terms associated with sustainability in a variety of sectors.

‘In season’ English for environmental and natural resource students includes:
- A large selection of technical vocabulary terms covering a number of themes associated with environmental sustainability.
- A skills-based approach to learning including tasks and activities to practice listening, speaking, reading and writing in English for receptive and productive communication.
- Ready-to-use functional language providing learners with ‘real-life’ phrases to express themselves fluently in different situations.

The pre-sessional English language course is available to students who have been offered a place at the University of Warwick. It can be taken for 5 or 10 weeks during the summer.
