Summer Day Camps & Sports Camps in Wilmington DE area
Sanford Camps at Sanford School, Hockessin:
Sanford Camps offer Day Camps, Extended Day Camps and Sports Camps for kids ages 4 to 14 years in Hockessin and North Wilmington, DE. All of our day camps are available at Sanford School in Hockessin, and our extended day camp is also offered at St. Mary Magdalene School in Wilmington.
Summer Camps for Children 4-14 years:
Day Summer Camp in Hockessin:
- 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
- 3rd week in June to the 3rd week in August.
- Enroll for 2 - 10 weeks, not necessarily consecutive
- Summer School Enrichment and Remedial programs can be coordinated with the Day Camp.
- Sports Camp can be integrated with the full Day Camp.
Activities:
All campers experience a varied schedule that includes swimming, art, dance, computers, tennis and ball games. Schedules are adapted to the ages of the children; always putting the children in an experience in which they can be successful. Field trips are scheduled every week to add to the variety experienced by children.
Extended Day Summer Program in Hockessin & Wilmington:
- Available in Hockessin & North Wilmington
- 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
Although this program is more relaxed than normal Day Camp, there are still many activities, including recreational swimming, which are enjoyed.
Sports Camps in Hockessin:
Sanford Sports Camps have been building a reputation for having the best Sports Camp Program in Delaware. Top-name coaches, outstanding facilities and low coach-to-athlete ratios are the reasons why these camps are so popular. The camps are unique in that they offer on-site swimming, a full lunch program and air-conditioned indoor facilities on rainy days.

Swimming Program (included in all of our camps):
On Campus, all campers develop their swimming skills in a daily instructional and/or recreational swimming program taught by American Red Cross Certified Instructors in our well maintained on campus pool. The swimming instructors teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced skills, and emphasize water safety at all levels.
Summer School Enrichment And Remedial Programs (can be coordinated with the Day Camp):
- 5-6 years old: Language-based reading program
- Grades 2 thru 6: Enrichment in Reading and Mathematics
- Grades 4 to 8: Mathematics, Creative Reading and Writing

• English Language immersion course for students aged 12 to 17 in County Sligo in the beautiful West of Ireland!• The programme consists of 3 hours of English tuition each morning. Afternoons are filled with a choice of fun activities including Kayaking, Horse-Riding, Cookery Lessons, Irish Dancing and Zip-Lines in the local forest park!
• Our course is also attended by Irish teenagers who act as Student Guides for our international students. The Irish teenagers attend activities and live with the students in our lakeside accommodation to ensure they have an enjoyable language learning holiday.

• English Language Camp Ireland takes place on Lough Arrow in the west of Ireland. The residential accommodation is located on the shores of one of Ireland's most beautiful lakes.
