Learn Spanish with an evening course at International House London. From Spanish lessons for beginners to Spanish tuition for advanced speakers, we have a course for every level. We also provide bespoke language learning programmes for companies who need Spanish language training for their staff.
The IH General Spanish Programme is offered at eight levels from Beginner to Advanced. Each level is 11 weeks long.
Spanish General Programme: Beginners
Our Spanish General Programme: Beginners is an 11 week evening course for people learning Spanish for the first time. You will study in a small group and your teacher will use 
lots of interactive devices to help you understand basic words and phrases.
Spanish lessons for beginners are once a week on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
Spanish General Programme: Beginners Continuation:
This level is ideal if you have already completed Spanish lessons for beginners. You will study in a small group and your teacher will use lots of interactive devices to help you understand basic words and phrases.
Beginners Continuation Spanish language classes are once a week on Thursday evenings from
6.30pm-8.30pm.
Spanish General Programme: Elementary:
This level is ideal if you can already understand simple questions and communicate in simple tourist situations. You will learn Spanish in a small group and your teacher will use lots of interactive devices to help you understand words and phrases.
Elementary Spanish language classes are once a week on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
Spanish General Programme: Elementary Continuation:
This level is ideal if you already understand a wide range of everyday vocabulary and can respond to simple questions and statements. You will learn Spanish in a small group and your teacher will use lots of interactive devices to help build your language knowledge and confidence.
Elementary Continuation Spanish language classes are once a week on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
Spanish General Programme: Pre Intermediate:
This level is ideal if you already understand a wide range of everyday vocabulary
and can converse in common situations. You will learn Spanish in a small group and your teacher will use interactive devices and authentic material to help build your language knowledge and confidence.
Pre Intermediate Spanish language classes are once a week on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
Spanish General Programme: Intermediate:
This level is ideal if you can communicate in most everyday situations and discuss common topics. You will learn Spanish in a small group and your teacher will use interactive devices and authentic material to help build your language knowledge and confidence.
Intermediate Spanish language classes are once a week on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
Spanish General Programme: Upper Intermediate:
This level is ideal if you can communicate quite fluently with a wide range of vocabulary. You will learn Spanish in a small group and your teacher will use group exercises, interactive devices and authentic material to build your language knowledge and confidence.
Upper Intermediate Spanish language classes are once a week on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
Spanish General Programme: Advanced:
This level is ideal if you can communicate quite fluently even in highly specialised situations. You will study Spanish in a small group and your teacher will use group exercises, discussions and authentic material to increase your language knowledge and confidence.
Advanced Spanish language classes are once a week on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
Spanish Survival Course:
Our Spanish Survival Course is ideal if you want to learn Spanish for the first time. Over five weeks, we will teach you the basic Spanish language skills to get mor
e out of a holiday or business trip. Learning Spanish at International House is a dynamic and interactive experience: your teacher will speak in Spanish and use props and pictures to help you understand.
The Survival course is the equivalent of our Beginners Spanish General Programme. You can progress to Beginners Continuation once you’ve completed Survival.
Course overview:
- Survival Spanish tuition focuses on the practical language skills you need for travelling and socialising. Each lesson develops a language skill for a different tourist scenario.
- The course runs on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6.30-8.30pm for five weeks (20 lessons).
- The average class size is 6-8 students (maximum 14) and the minimum course entry age is 16 years old.
One-to-one Spanish Tuition:
One-to-one Spanish tuition is a good way to make quick progress if you are learning Spanish for the first time, or want to improve your existing Spanish language skills. One-to-one Spanish tuition is tailored to your needs, so you can focus on aspects of the Spanish language that you need most help with.
One-to-one Spanish tuition can be purchased by the hour (minimum booking 1.5 hours) at times that are convenient for you.
Tuition overview:
One-to-one Spanish lessons are built around your exact requirements. We will conduct a pre-courses analysis of your needs to guide the tuition structure. You can choose to focus on general or business language skills.
Individual tuition is open to all levels, from beginners to advanced Spanish speakers.
Minimum age is 16 years old. One-to-one Spanish lessons can be provided at IH London or in-company.
