Madrid PLUS:
Madrid PLUS is a private school offering year-round Spanish language courses for all levels from beginner to advanced. Our school is located on la Calle Arenal (Arenal Road) in the city centre, two minutes from the Puerta del Sol, known as "kilometer 0" of Spain. We opened in 1990 and since then we have catered to over 2000 students from all over the world.
The class size is between 6 and 10 students, so there is plenty of opportunities to participate in class conversations and to know your fellow students better. There are four different levels and five sub levels. Beginners, elementary, intermediate and advanced. We are adapting our levels to the European Reference Frame, so that we can offer levels from A1 to C1
Students can join a course every Monday, after having taken the test (oral and written) to place them in the appropriate level. The evening courses are two days a week (Wednesday and Friday, or Tuesday and Thursday). They are for one hour and a half every day, and in total three hours per week. Private classes can be arranged to fit in with the student.

In order to learn to speak a language correctly, it is necessary to use a method based on complete communication. Learning in a motivating environment with the space for conversation, and where one can express oneself are essential ingredients to motivating the student. Classes are taught through Spanish, with other languages used as little as possible. Vocabulary and grammar are learnt in context with both oral and written exercises provided by the school.
Additionally, on the first day of the course the student will obtain a course book for classwork. Great emphasis is placed on developing the oral abilities of the students. Between classes the student will have to prepare discussion topics and present themes to be debated in conversation classes.
Our Teachers:
Our teachers are native Spanish speakers with teaching certificates in Filologia Hispánica and some are professional teachers. Their knowledge and experience teaching to foreign students guarantees a great learning experience.
In addition to learning Spanish, there are many things to see and do in Madrid and its surrounding area: Food and drink, Royal Palace, Shopping, Museo del Prado, Museo Reina Sofía, Museo Thyssen, Museo Arqueológico, Museo Municipal de Madrid, Parque del Retiro, Guided walks through historical Madrid, Guided walks through the Gran Vía, Bullfighting, Concerts, Salsa classes and much more.
At the weekend the school organises day excursions to Toledo, Segovia, Salamanca, Ávila, Aranjuez, and more. Also, trips further afield are organised for two or three days, for example Barcelona, Sevilla, Córdoba, Lisboa, Marruecos and more. Also,
