About Ken Scott:

Photo of Jewelry School in Florence, Italy Kenneth has lived and worked in Florence for 14 years. Originally from New Zealand he was invited to Italy, on a 6 month, contract to take up the position of designer/model-maker in the design and development department of a major jewelry manufacturer in Florence, a position he held for 5 years. In 2000 Kenneth initiated his own manufacturing business, this fully equipped professional studio continues to operate from an important Design Academy in Florence , “Art Studio Fuji” where he both teaches and creates collections for both his own range and commissioned pieces for private customers.

Kenneth’s 35 year experience in the craft of Jewelry and Art History also led to invitations from various Florentine Universities to take the appointment as a teacher of Advanced Jewelry Techniques and Design, positions he holds to this day.

Facilities:
Classes will be taught in a fully equipped professional studio within walking distance of the Historic Centre of Florence. All the work-shop equipment is for use by our students. Bench-tools and basic consumables are provided, and advice will be given on where to obtain any extra materials that students may require. A private locker will also be provided for our students.

Taught entirely in English, our intensive Art Program is divided into 6 separate modules covering drawing & painting skills, with each module serving as the foundation for the next. Alternatively, you can choose to take any module as a stand-alone course, from one week to a month or longer.
