Located in Sabadell, 20 km northwest of Barcelona, Catalunia in eastern Spain, Kid's House Nursery school is an international private trilingual school which teaches infants from 4 months to 3 years of age in English, Spanish and Catalan. The centre is staffed by a specialised team (including teachers with English as their mother-tongue) who use each language and culture in a totally natural way. This initiative is an educational option which combines the traditional system with references to the British system. This enables us to offer a multicultural, enriching and open educational project incorporating traditional values with an updated system close to Northern-European standards.
Methodology:
Our methodology is based on observation, experimentation, games and the forming of habits.
Our work is not based on working with files, it is centred on a living model where each child can experiment with different materials, hold, participate in different songs and dances, freely experience that which he or she wants, within established limits to promote independent play, to foster independence and so stimulate his/her own personal self-esteem, to know how to overcome the conflicts which lie ahead, and so on.
At the end of every term a revision is made of all the work carried out by your child, this does not mean looking through a large album, as we work on other, more important aspects related to behaviour, attitude and independence, which cannot be put onto paper, and which children assimilate.
