Image of Montessori Children's Center, San Francisco Montessori Children's Center:
Founded in 1976, Montessori Children's Center (MCC) teaches students ages 2-6 in its new custom-designed preschool in the Parkmerced community in San Francisco. Dedicated to the methods and vision of the reknowned educator Maria Montessori, the teachers at MCC consider themselves guides and facilitators rather than instructors as children instinctively "learn how to learn," thus gaining independence and self-confidence.

Located in the southwest corner of San Francisco, near San Francisco State University in the Villa Merced complex we serve families from Sunset District, Balboa Terrace, Ingleside, Oceanview and throughout San Fransisco Bay communities.

Live Oak School, San Francisco
Courses / Programs
Live Oak School is an independent, co-educational day school for students in kindergarten through to 8th grade located in Potrero Hill on the east side of San Francisco. Founded by parents and teachers in 1971, Live Oak draws families from Portrero, Central East, Mission District and other communities throughout the Peninsula. Live Oak is a small school where students and families know each other well. We believe that school is both a place to learn and a place to learn how to learn.

We want our students to know themselves and to know how to work with others. We want our students to leave Live Oak with the doors wide open. Our faculty, staff, board and families work together to create a learning environment that is diverse, challenging, nurturing, engaging and inspiring. We believe that the journey is as important as the destination, and at the same time, we are proud that our graduates choose among public, independent and religious high schools.

The Buckley School, Los Angeles
Courses / Programs
The Buckley School is a private, co-educational pre-kindergarten through to grade 12 school, the oldest coed day school located in Los Angeles, unique in its high level of academics, positive, friendly community, and small size. Based in Sherman Oaks, we serve families in Encino, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Beverly Glen and surrounding communities. More than preparation for high school, students are moved thoughtfully and sensitively from Lower School and prepared for the more departmentalized Upper School program.

The school climate permits them to develop their abilities and a love of learning while they are challenged academically. Dr. Buckley’s approach addresses the development of the whole student, enabling them to become well-rounded, knowledgeable, and independent. At Buckley, we look for students who are well suited to our philosophy. For us, success means feeling safe to take a risk, ask a question, try out for a play or run for office. It means students who take the opportunity to learn and grow in all areas of school life, inside and outside of the classroom.
- Pre-Kindergarten Program
- Lower School Program
- Middle School Program
- Upper School Program

Our academic curriculum is well rounded, with courses in English, mathematics, science, history, and foreign language.
