Canoe Island French Camp:
Summer fun with a French accent! Learn to speak French and enjoy the fun of an overnight summer camp on a private island. Find a little bit of France in the San Juan Islands at this Northwest Washington sleepover summer camp, one of the country's premier French camps. Campers, ages 9-16, take part in a unique mix of French language and culture through artistic and outdoor activities.

Fantastic Staff: The Camp Directors have more than 25 years of experience running some of the Northwest's most respected camp programs. With backgrounds that include French language and travel, medical training and education, they meet parents' criteria for safety, knowledge and experience.

Certified, CPR-trained lifeguards supervise all swimming and boating activities. Counselors are at least 18, have had at least one year of college and are fluent in French. Registered nurses oversee all aspects of camp health and hygeiene and our gourmet chefs serve delicious and nutritious meals.

And only 45 campers per session, you will get to know everyone in camp in just a few days. Campers come from 20 states and more than 5 countries. Your counselors, many of whom are from France, will share their culture, food and history. With your new friends, make a masque fantastique, bake a tarte aux pommes, rappel down to the ocean's edge, or kayak to an island beach.

Stay at an Awesome Facility:
Enjoy a heated swimming pool, tennis court, two miles of trails, Long House "theatre", a French and English library, two teaching kitchens, a game room with foosball and table tennis,a grass field for outdoor games and sports. Sleep out on the dock and climb the steps to the stone watertower "Colombier" and sing songs around an amazing stone fire ring.

Situated in the heart of Seattle, Washington, The Northwest School is an independent college preparation and international boarding school for Grades 6-12. We provide a welcoming and engaging English language (ESL) summer programs for students ages 10-16. Our English summer classes are specifically designed for ELL (English Language Learning) students who wish to improve their English language skills in a fun and relaxed environment. We welcome students from all over Seattle, the U.S., and around the world.

Our boarding program features a truly international atmosphere. Each summer, the dormitory welcomes approximately 200 students from more than ten countries. Camp Lutherhaven is a traditional summer camp provider located in Coeur d'Alene ID, close to the Washington State border. We offer a wide range of summer courses for boys and girls from 1st through 12th Grade.

Hills Learning
Courses / Programs
Hills Learning is a language school that provides high-quality Mandarin Chinese classes to adults, teens and children all year-round. This summer, we are teaming up with Chess Educators to provide a unique summer camp experience for boys and girls (ages 5-12) - combine Mandarin Chinese immersion instruction with an interactive Chess program. The program takes place at Léman Manhattan Prep School, in the Financial District of NYC (close to Wall Street).

Kids will participate in fun, engaging activities, and they start off the day with a morning wakeup physical activity. In the afternoon, they get engaged in playing Chess and learning fun and effective strategies. All students must sign up for 2 weeks minimum. They can also take the camp for 4 weeks and receive a discount.

Our Chinese language instruction is fun and effective. We follow a textbook designed specifically for children learning Chinese. All language skills are developed, from writing and reading, to speaking and listening. Through interactive games and activities, the students learn the basics of this incredible language.

The chess camp provides an interactive and hands-on approach for kids to learn chess. Chess camp activities include chess instruction and lessons, a chess lab which includes worksheets, problem solving, and more tactics. Kids will also participate in class tournament games with notation and clocks making the camp an exciting and rewarding experience.
- Summer program for elementary school kids (ages 5-12) that combines Mandarin Chinese classes with an interactive Chess program.

All students must sign up for 2 weeks minimum. They can also take the camp for 4 weeks and receive a discount.
Catlin Gabel School, Portland
Courses / Programs
Catlin Gabel School is located in the south-west of downtown Portland in Multnomah County, adjacent to St. Vincent's Hospital on south-west Barnes Road. Catlin Gabel offers summer programs ranging from arts and music, modern languages, writing, SAT prep, outdoor education, service and more. Our summer programs are open to all preschool through 12th grade students, not just those who are enrolled at Catlin Gabel.

Most of our summer programs are one-week courses, with the exception of our Summer Beehive program for children entering preschool through 2nd grade, allowing you to select times that work best with your summer plans. Our summer school staff members are experienced and caring professionals, who strive to help each child succeed.
