Qingdao Amerasia International School (QAIS) in Qingdao's Shilaoren neighborhood, in eastern Shandong province, provides holistic academic programs to children from Early Childhood through Grade 12. We are also an IB World School, offering the IB Diploma Programme for students in Grades 11 & 12. Our teaching is aligned with the American Common Core Standards

Qingdao Amerasia International School is located in Qingdao's downtown Shinan District, overlooking the Qingdao International Sailing Center. The school is approximately 800m from the Shangri-La Hotel, and 1km from City Hall and May 4th Square. The surrounding area is a mix of high end residential, commercial, retail and parks spread along the coast of the Yellow Sea.

Marina City, Hisense Plaza, Jusco, and Sunshine Department Stores are all within comfortable walking distance, as are a wide selection of international restaurants. As the area is highly desirable for international families, many of our students live very close to the school, making it easy for their parents to be involved in school events.
