Daffodils Preschool, located in Mckinney, TX, is a Progressive Montessori Preschool offering programs for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Our curriculum is unique because it has developed and evolved through years of experience and observing what actually works with children. In designing our curriculum we have used the Montessori philosophy as the foundation and combined it with aspects from other impressive programs, such as the Steiner Philosophy, the Reggio Emilia Approach and Developmental Play.
Children are grouped in mixed ages and abilities, 18 months - 3 years, 3 - 6 years. There is constant interaction, problem solving, child-to-child teaching, and socialization. Children are challenged according to their ability and never bored.
Our Teachers:
We believe that one key to a successful preschool is the quality of the staff. Teachers are chosen to be a part of Daffodils Preschool - based on experience, degrees, personality, their love for children, and their diligence. Teaching social skills, acceptable behavior and appropriate responses is an important part of our curriculum and a teacher's value system is a priority because first and foremost, we are character builders.
We have low teacher to child ratios ensuring that each child can get the individual attention he/she needs. Our goal at Daffodils Preschool is to provide an environment that stimulates children to learn and challenges staff to excel. Parents want the very best for their children and we believe each child is worth the extra effort.

We believe in a progressive approach to learning. We believe that effective early learning programs tend to borrow ‘best practice’ and take guiding principles from a number of models. There are many early learning philosophies that exist and new ones keep emerging based on new research and findings. We believe that an effective curriculum takes from a range of philosophies and keeps changing to incorporate new ones. Only then can children have a complete and balanced experience that caters for all areas of development. The Growing Tree Academy is a privately-owned licensed daycare and preschool in Houston, Harris County, TX, where children from 6 weeks to 4 years (Pre-K) come to learn, play and socialize. Spanish is taught to all students and live webcam monitoring is given to parents so they can view their child throughout the day. Trinity Preparatory Academy is a classical, Christian, private school in Keller, Texas that provides a two-day/week program for grades K to 12 in support of the students' home-centered education. Our programs are aimed at families who do not want full-time public or private school, but do not want to "go it alone" as homeschoolers. Classes are 9am to 3pm for K-5th grades and 9am to 3:10pm for 6th-12th grades.
