Boracay European International School:
Boracay European International School (BEIS) is a non-profit, co-educational, international school in the Philippines using English as the language of instruction, and offering programs from Nursery through to Grade 9. We are located in Manoc-Manoc in Malay, Aklan on Boracay Island, approximately 315 km (200 miles) south of Manila and 2 km off the north-west tip of Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. BEIS is in partnership with the German European School in Manila which has an accreditation as an IB World School and provides high quality academic and administrative assistance.

Education Programs:
We provide education programs from Nursery through to Grade 9 (English is the language of instruction). Nurturing and academic development begins with our primary teachers in small classes. In a warm, supportive environment, the children receive the individual attention they need to journey confidently through elementary school.

- Day Care and Kindergarten Programs: 
In the day care, children relate to things and events based on their own personal understanding, their interests are stimulated and their experiences come to life. At the kindergarten, our qualified teachers support this practice through the process of inquiry. Children are encouraged to learn through experience using a variety of activities that not only build knowledge through their environment, but stimulate physical development as well.

- Primary School Program: 
Lessons are organized in blocks, with each block comprising of 90 minutes.

- Secondary School Program: 
Our program provides a time of transition for students in Grades 5 to 9. It also provides a solid academic foundation in the core subjects, Math, Humanities and the Sciences, as well as Fine Arts. Students are expected to work hard and to develop a strong sense of ownership over their academic growth. The Secondary School is guided by a dedicated, multi-talented faculty team who recognize the unique needs of adolescents – their physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development.

* Curriculum, Methods & International Standards:
In modernized schools, the focus is on the fact of how procedures and standards are implemented and goals are achieved.

Role models for excellent curricula:

* The programs of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO)

Almost every international school of high quality education integrates aspects of these curricula into its program. BEIS will provide the necessary and vital link to prepare its students for the transition from Middle School to High School life and college at international schools worldwide and national private schools in Manila. For the best of our students it is aimed at attaining the IBO Diploma Program in grades 11 and 12. The IBO Diploma significantly aids in the university admissions process, as it is highly recognized worldwide.

The BEIS-curriculum will be orientated towards the international program of the German School Manila and will be supervised by its Head.

After Completion of Grade 9:
After successfully completing grade 9 at BEIS, students will have the option of attending the European International School Manila to complete their high school programs and to enroll in the IB program, which is an academically challenging and balanced program of education that prepares students, usually aged 16-19, for success at university and life beyond. The program is normally taught in the student’s 11th and 12th year of school.

With its rigorous external assessment with global standards the IB Diploma is a qualification welcomed by universities in Europe, the US, Australia and most other countries worldwide.
