All you need is a computer, a headset and a broadband internet connection. Our program was originally developed at El Sol, our affiliate Spanish language school in Lima, Peru. All our teachers are currently trained at El Sol and our program continues to be monitored there.

Courses range from basic to advanced, so whether you’re a complete beginner or have been studying Spanish for years, Web Spanish will provide Spanish instruction at the right level for you. During your class (which normally lasts 50 minutes) you will work through a Spanish lesson with the guidance and support of your teacher. Lessons cover grammar and vocabulary, and you will gain fluidity and improve your pronunciation while speaking. After the class is done, your teacher will send a record of class notes, and will assign you 10 to 20 minutes of homework.

Naturally, the amount of time it takes you to learn Spanish depends on your particular learning ability and the effort you put in to your studies. However, you can expect to take between 60 and 80 hours of class to complete each level of our general Spanish program. Seeing as there are 6 levels, the full program should take you approximately 360 to 480 hours. Our course is focused around giving students the oral practice they require to encode and remember the grammar and vocabulary that is covered in the lessons.

If you study Spanish online just 3 hours a week and dedicate sufficient independent study time, you should reach an advanced level within 2½ to 3 years. Double your class time and you’ll learn Spanish in less than 18 months! Of course if you already speak some Spanish, or only need to reach basic or intermediate level, you’ll reach your learning goals much faster.
