Since 1973, the internationally-recognized Language Workshop for Children in New York has been offering stimulating language lessons for babies, toddlers and elementary grades.
Italian Courses for Children:
Italian For Tots 6 Months to 3 Years:
6M-3Y, 45 Minutes with Parent/Caregiver.
Capture a child’s prime time to learn a new language. Tots magically absorb a new language through stimulating Thibaut-style interaction, songs, and language immersion.
Italian For Children:
3-9Y, 1, 1 ½ or 2 Hours. Separation.
Vocal, animated and fun, these play-filled language immersion classes are exciting for kids so they really learn.
Italian Immersion Preschool:
2.10-4Y 2 ½ Hours, Separation.
Students attend Language Immersion Family Preschool with a parent or caregiver. The first 45-minutes of Language Immersion Family Preschool offers an age appropriate Tots structured play class filled with enriching activities including arts and crafts, original LWFC vocabulary-building songs, visual aid games and more.
The second 45-minutes offers traditional Preschool activities that develop fundamental early childhood skills such as self-confidence, imagination, reasoning, listening, creativity, socialization and motor coordination. The Family Language Immersion Preschool promotes a child's general development while expanding their command of a new language.
Varying activities, such as story-telling, music, drawing, arts and crafts, blocks, counting, movement, mime, free play, organized play, reading, snack-time and clean-up foster children's emotional, social, and intellectual development. Many parents tell us that they choose Family Preschool to enjoy their child's company for just a little while longer.
Italian Summer Program:
3-9Y, 2 ½ Hours, Separation.
In the LWFC’s Summer Camp-Like Enrichment Program 3 to 9 years old expand their French, Spanish, Chinese or Italian through language immersion fun, costume days, baking, arts and crafts, theme days, birthday parties and more! And because they are being immersed and acquiring a new language naturally, youngsters start thinking in it, building sentences, and speaking in it. Best of all, flexible summer scheduling lets kids come and go and accommodates family vacations.

China Institute offers Mandarin language immersion programs designed for preschool, kindergarten, elementary and high school students. For students with little or no prior background in Mandarin, the Institute also offers a six-week long Mandarin Chinese Summer Immersion Academy in New York City.
