French4NYC is a French tutor specializing in helping New York professionals learn French for business, tourism and leisure. We offer private French classes for students of all levels - from beginner to advanced. Classes can be held at your home or office. We also offer a 12-hour accelerated French course. Our method is based on individualized learning, targeted lessons and real application of the French language.

Our classes do not include tedious repetition or boring drills. You will start speaking in full sentences from the first lesson. Our list of satisfied clients includes executives at GQ magazine, Cosmopolitan, Discover, American Airlines and other Fortune 500 Media and Finance companies.

NYC French Speaking Group:
This New York French speaking group is for all level speakers to practice and learn the French language & culture through casual and laidback meetings. You will have fun, meet new people and learn French! This is a great option for those who may not be interested in formal French lessons or classes.

Meetings will be held in cafes and public venues across Manhattan on a monthly basis. Discussion topics will include current events, French culture & cuisine, music and arts, and travel and tourism among others.

About Me:

French4NYC is owned and operated by French Tutor Marie Demene. Marie is a tutor with outstanding success record teaching French to New york professionals including executives of GQ magazine, Cosmopolitan, Discover magazine, NY times, Chopsticks, and other professionals in fortune five hundred finance and media arts companies.

Marie’s success in delivering French classes and lessons in New York is the result of education, a lively approach and her unique method based on the four principles for effective French Tutoring.

Born in Marseilles, France. She holds a bachelor’s and masters degree from the University of Provence. Her teaching experience includes positions at Eurotalk Language Institute (London, England), Europe IBM and Private Boarding Schools. Her hobbies include French cuisine, running and reading.
