Between the age of 14-18 years we offer our students the opportunity to participate in certified exams that make them eligible to receive college credits or to study at a German university. We also help our students prepare for the Advanced placement exam and the SAT II in German. Our classes are structured as follows: 1. Playgroup (3-4 years), 2. Kindergarten (4-5 years), 3. Unterstufe (6-10 years), 4. Mittelstufe (10-14 years), 5. Oberstufe (14-18 years), 6. Adult Beginners, 7. Adult Advanced.

German-American School is a private, not-for-profit German language school that offers an after-school German language program for children from the ages of 4 - 15 throughout the Greater New York City area. We also offer German classes for adults.

We offer our classes in convenient locations in Manhattan, NYC; Ridgewood, Queens; Garden City and Franklin Square in Long Island.

Currently 320 students ages 4-15 attend our after-school German programs. We have a staff of 21 experienced teachers, many of whom have been with us for many years.

No previous German language knowledge is required to enter our language program. Our after-school classes meet once a week for 1.75 hours. The German-American school has been Regents-accredited since 1911.
