Acting Class for Film — the Essentials:
The basics of Camera work, closeups, technique, improvs, auditions and cold readings, monolgs- all levels. We work with beginners who have no experience and with advanced, professional actors, everyone.

The classes teach acting for camera - film and television - all classes are on camera and you review your work at the end of each class on a TV monitor.

The classes are intimate, 6-12 people, so if there is anything in particular that you want to work on, I can give you personal help. All levels accepted.

You will work on Eye Line (where to look), how to project your voice, emotions, and physicality. I stress believability and vulnerability and have many tricks of the trade to share. I spend time working on close-ups. We do monologues, improvisations, cold readings, audition technique, commercials, and some scene work-most of the material is from movies. I teach "acting technique" with an eclectic approach. All the work is geared to making you look most effective on screen.

In the final class we will screen your work in a theatre for casting directors, agents, managers, etc.

Star in a Movie:

Scene study class in which students star in a scene from a famous movie. Scenes are shot professionally by an established cinematographer.

You will star in a two character original short film or in a scene from a famous movie which Mr. Stolzenberg will direct. (some examples: Kramer vs Kramer, Good Will Hunting, Frankie and Johnnie, Erin Brokovich, Pulp Fiction). Choose your own material or let the director help you in your selection.

Use this on your reel. Work on your acting craft. Gain experience and confidence. Add it to your resume.

Scheduling is flexible, fitted to your time commitments.

The movie will be screened at one of our showcase screening events in a theatre for agents, casting directors, managers and producers.
