International School of Morocco, Casablanca:
The International School of Morocco is an independent, international day school for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes in Casablanca in Western Morocco that follows an American-style curriculum with English as the primary language of instruction. The school is located in a quiet, residential area of Casablanca know as Oasis. We opened the school with classes starting from 3 years old. We offer a balanced research-based curriculum guided by high standards for academic excellence and fueled by the intrinsic inquisitive nature of childhood. Our teaching team consists of highly qualified teachers who are passionate about what they do and are willing to work collaboratively to create a positive learning environment for all. They represent a range of expertise and international teaching experience. Our lead classroom teachers are native English speakers.

Our well-rounded curriculum offers children opportunities to explore themes and ideas through not only the core subject areas of language arts (reading & writing), math, science, and social studies, but through integrated enrichment subjects as well. Visual arts, music, drama, and physical education nurture each child’s investigation of topics at an even richer level. Strong language programs, for both language learners and native speakers, support English as the primary language of instruction by allowing further opportunities to explore literacy concepts and enhance content knowledge and skills.

This multifaceted curriculum enables us to address the learning styles of a wide range of learners, while exploring the important and enduring understanding that we communicate and express ourselves in multiple ways. Indeed, language and communication provide a common thread that unites everything we do, forming the background against which we hope to weave a rich tapestry of learning for our students.

English Fluency:
We celebrate and support a multilingual community. Our students will become fluent English speakers and our primary language of instruction will be English, but never at the expense of sacrificing the home languages of our student population.

We work in partnership with families to encourage and support mother tongues in order to develop self-confidence and provide all students with a firm linguistic foundation on which to develop skills and build their English fluency.
