We educate more than 800 students in grades 9 through 12 to become adults who are confident, prepared, and connected in faith. At AHA we believe in community. We're a community of students, parents, teachers, alums and neighbors dedicated to educating young people, strengthening faith and serving one another.
Through our college preparatory curriculum with college prep and advanced placment courses we encourage AHA students to approach learning as an opportunity for challenge, growth and exploration through classes in math, science, languages, world cultures, technology, theater, visual arts, practical arts, theology and Christian ministry and service.
Our goal is to give every student the chance to take a college-level class. Advanced classes teach students how to study and prepare for rigorous learning, and the experience helps them perform better in high school and later. Located in St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, Minnesota Waldorf School is an independent pre-K through 8th grade school. We value the critical link between inspiration and education. Music, movement, foreign language, handwork, and art are thoughtfully integrated with a strong core of humanities and sciences. Our classrooms and teachers offer a warm, nurturing environment that allows children's capacities to unfold and grow, naturally. Our students rise to the challenges of learning with a sense of discovery and curiosity.
Whenever possible, teachers remain with the same class from 1st through 8th grade, allowing for growth and a deepening of the class community. Children flow from cooking and imaginative play in preschool and kindergarten, to marching math games and building projects in early grades, and then advance to scientific discovery and critical thinking in upper grades. Our school is fully accredited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America, as well as AdvancED. We do not discriminate on the basis of gender, ability, sexual orientation, race, color, religion, nationality or ethnic origin.
