Located in Port St. Lucie FL, Southeastern Military Academy is a specialized boarding school dedicated to helping troubled and needy boys from ages 11-17.

We are accredited by NACE, and recognized as a Tier I school with the U.S. Army Recruiting Command.

About Us:
Southeastern Military Academy is a 12 month boarding school that utilizes military style components for the establishment of a "Doctrine of Discipline" in the lives of the struggling teens who come to the school.

The Academy provides a viable alternative to school dropouts for struggling teens needing behavioral re-direction in a military style environment.

Our Objective:
The objective of SEMA is to provide a tough, highly structured, high impact academic and extracurricular boys boarding school program that will remold and turn around the lives of rebellious and troubled teenagers.

The program objectives are facilitated through the use of a "Code of Conduct" that contains the seven core values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Self Sacrifice, Honor, Integrity, & Personal Courage.

Southeastern Military Academy has a unique behavior modification system that promotes and achieves needed changes in the lives of struggling youth.

We promote traditional values such as honesty, openness, respect, teamwork, and accountability in order to instill a positive, responsible, cooperative attitude that will prepare them to successfully live in their family, community and society.

Treatment Plan:
In the first few weeks of placement a Treatment Plan will be established with your son.

This is a tool by which we measure your son's progress on his presenting problems.

As he progresses in the program these goals are achieved and new ones are set as your son progresses to the next stage of the program.

Will My Son Hate Me?
No! Your son will not hate you regardless of what he says. He will try his best to manipulate you. Remember, he has been around you for many years, he knows how to pull on your heart strings.

Can my son return home before 12 months?
Typically it takes our staff 12 months (sometimes more) to effect change in your son. You will notice changes immediately after placement because of our disciplined program but these are just external changes.

Typically we see lasting change at 12 months. Be encouraged, don't give in prematurely because of the dramatic change you see.

Will there be classes for me?
Yes, Our parents program is also a 12 month program. You may be required to attend classes in addition to your son.

First Phone Call
Your son may receive phone calls from you after two weeks in the program. These two weeks may creep by agonizingly slow, or may pass very fast depending on your situation.

At any rate, on the first phone call your son will be eager to talk with you. He will want to promise that he has changed and even ask if you will let him come home.
