Learn Mandarin Chinese in the heart of the US Capital! International Language Institute (ILI) is a high-quality language school which offers a wide range of Mandarin Chinese language to adult students from around the world. Located in the Dupont Circle area of central Washington DC, we provide general Chinese group classes at 11 different proficiency levels from beginner to advanced. We also offer a comprehensive 'Mandarin Chinese for Travelers' course designed for students who are making their way to a Chinese-speaking area for business or pleasure. Graduates who have received a 'Passing Grade', and have fulfilled the relevant attendance requirements receive a Certificate of Completion from the school.

Mandarin Chinese Language Courses for Adults:
We provide Mandarin Chinese classroom group classes at 11 proficiency levels.

These different levels allow students to acquire a solid foundation of the Mandarin Chinese language no matter what their background or experience.

Throughout these eleven levels, students are immersed in the 4 basic skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

General Mandarin Chinese Group Classes:
Regular group courses last for 10 weeks. Students meet once a week (or twice a week for the accelerated class) in the evening or on Saturday mornings. Each session lasts for 2.5 hours. Course features include:

• Intensive 10-week terms
• Classes meet once a week for 2.5 hours
• Evening & weekend study options
• Small class size (max. 9 students)
• Experienced, native-speaking teachers

Mandarin Chinese for Travelers:
This 5 week courses enables students to communicate instantly in Chinses on a host of topics:  plane and train travel, restaurants, shopping, essential services, health and medical situations, hotel check-ins, and more. Traveler classes meet once weekly for 2.5 hours for five weeks.

Certificate of Completion:
Passing grade students who have the required attendance receive a 'Certificate of Completion' from the Institute. All of our Mandarin Chinese language programs are accredited by ACCET, the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training.

• Situated in the heart of Washington DC, International Language Institute (ILI) is a quality language school which offers a wide range of foreign language courses to students from around the world.

• We offer beginner to advanced level general courses in Mandarin Chinese, as well as a specialized Chinese for Travelers program.
