GCE (A) Levels Program:
The GCE syllabus offered at SJIS is divided into Advanced (AS) and Advanced Two (A2) levels, each contributing 50% towards the final A-Levels grade. AS Level is the first half of the course and forms the foundation of A-Levels. A2 Level is the second part of the syllabus and covers more difficult topics. There are normally between 2 to 4 A-Levels subjects. The duration is 18 months (3 semesters).

Requires “SPM, ‘O’ Levels or equivalent, 5 credits including credits in English and Mathematics. Subject prerequisites apply” just on top of subjects offered.

Subjects offered:
* Bio / Pure Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Psychology.

* Business / Humanities: Accounting, Business Study, Economics, Mathematics, Computing and English Literature.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program: (Future program)
SJIS plans to include the IB Diploma in 2011 which is an academically challenging and balanced program of education that prepares students, aged 16 to 19. The program is taught over two years and has gained recognition and respect from the world's leading universities.

IB Diploma Programme covers six courses at higher level or standard level. Students must choose one subject from each of groups 1 to 5, in languages, social studies, experimental sciences and mathematics. The sixth subject may be an arts subject chosen from group 6, or the student may choose another subject from groups 1 to 5.

In addition the program has three core requirements that are included to broaden the educational experience and challenge students to apply their knowledge and understanding:

- The extended essay
- Theory of knowledge
- Creativity, action and service
