With 5 campuses throughout the Dane County area in Madison and Wanaukee, Lango Foreign Languages For Kids Wisconsin provides quality Spanish, French and Mandarin language classes for toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarten and elementary school students from the age of 18 months to 11 years. We teach children new languages in full immersion classes through Adventure Learning ®, our innovative approach that combines stories, music, playacting, and game-playing in an engaging format. More than 2,000 students are taught each year by Lango Leaders in more than 100 communities across the U.S.

Quality Spanish, Mandarin & French Language Programs for Kids

- Spanish
Spanish has been our most requested language since the day we started offering classes. Parents in every Lango community tell us that they feel that Spanish offers practical and cultural relevance for their children. Lango offers Spanish classes in every area we serve.

- French
While not as popular among earlier generations, French remains a favorite among Lango families. Lango teaches French, another romance language, using a very similar teaching approach to our Spanish classes, focusing heavily on accent for its stickier pronunciation elements. Lango offers French in select communities around the country.

- Mandarin
The popularity of Mandarin is growing as China's influence grows in the U.S. and throughout the world. More and more families tell us that they are willing to take on the rigors of learning a language that is wholly unlike English in order to gain the advantage of being able to speak the "language of the future." Lango has partnered with long-time Mandarin educators and curriculum developers to develop a curriculum that maintains our dynamic, playful approach while respecting the particular challenges of learning this language.

Toddler Language Classes (Ages 18 months - 3 years)
Children in this class don't sit still for long! These young "students" (ages 18 months to 3 years) start learning a new language through a variety of activities designed to engage their minds and bodies. Students become great friends with Cosmo the Bulldog, participating in his crazy adventures right alongside him and his friends, the Lango Kids. Music and movement form the foundation for the classes, as the children sing simple, rhythmic songs and dance, run, spin and jump around the room! 

Preschooler Language Classes (Ages 2 - 5)
Preschooler foreign language classes are great for kids who are enrolled in preschool or 4K. Fun and play form the foundation for our preschoolers foreign language classes. Within two or three classes, kids ages 2-5 learn key phrases in their new language through simple, repeated songs and chants. Meanwhile, they become familiar with more complex aspects of the language by engaging in "adventures," tactile and movement-based games that require them to solve simple problems - in their new language, of course! These adventures, starring the Lango Kids, our multicultural cast of characters, take students to other lands and cultures to ensure that their language instruction is combined with cultural exposure. 

Elementary Language Classes (Ages 6 - 11)
Lango is proud to partner with elementary schools throughout Dane County to provide convenient classes to their students. Our early elementary students learn their new languages through adventures, activities that require increasing levels of engagement and understanding over time, and that reward kids with a feeling of accomplishment. A simple literacy component ensures that these students not only listen, speak, sing and play in their new language, but read and write as well. 

Summer Language Immersion Camps
Camp Lango is a terrific way for kids ages 4-11 (going into kindergarten - sixth grade) to learn new languages while enjoying summertime fun. Lango campers spend each week immersed in an exciting part of the French, Chinese or Latin American world. Lango's dynamic, experienced teachers serve as counselors, and are supported by a team of native-speaking and fluent assistant counselors. Campers spend each day moving from one activity to the next, including special "No English!" times, designed to provide an immersion experience while still allowing for a ton of fun. A week or more of Camp Lango is guaranteed to boost your child's new language ability!
