Spanish Classes in Los Angeles, California

My Spanish Eye, Los Angeles:
We, the instructors at My Spanish Eye, located in the heart of Los Angeles, claim Spanish as our native tongue, and we claim it with love! With such fondness for our language comes a fresh, organic approach to teaching it. Our classes have a 1:1 student-teacher ratio—meaning the lesson is not only tailored to you, but you get a personalized curriculum that evolves as your knowledge evolves. Each series of classes starts with a free initial meeting where we discuss your goals for learning Spanish, as well as how you hope to put it to use in your life. From there, we begin your customized class series. You can expect to use a wide variety of fun and timely course materials, from pop song lyrics to contemporary news items. We may even draw from recipes, literature, or a marketplace field trip!

Individual Classes:
Each series of classes starts with an initial meeting class where we discuss your goals for learning Spanish, as well as how you hope to put it to use in your life. From there, we begin your customized class series. You can expect to use a wide variety of fun and timely course materials, from pop song lyrics to contemporary news items. We may even draw from recipes, literature, or a marketplace field trip! but don't think there wont be structure in your class! We like to use many different learning tools, because just as life can’t be contained in a book, learning cannot be contained in a simple classroom.

Group Classes:
We sure do give classes to couples and small groups. But, usually our suggestion is to take the same time slot but each one of you will be taught separately, in other words you will have different teachers. And there are many reasons for that, one of the most important ones is that you might have different learning speeds and/or different Spanish levels. Other reasons can be different schedules, different discipline and method to accomplish homework and in general different approaches to learning.

That is why when taking the class together one or two of you might feel that the other one is slowing you down or perhaps you feel intimidated by your friend or partner's learning speed. This doesn't mean that we don't encourage you to practice with your partner or friend and engage in Spanish activities together. As teachers we are very aware of your individual circumstances, environment and goals and will include them in your learning process as much as possible.

Can we teach classes to couples?
We sure do give classes to couples. But, usually our suggestion is to take the same time slot but each one of you will be taught separately, in other words you will have different teachers. This doesn't mean that we don't encourage you to practice with your partner or engage in Spanish activities together. As teachers we are very aware of your individual circumstances, environment and goals and will include them in your learning process as much as possible. We invite you to schedule your first class together where we can discuss further more your specific case, analyze your levels, as well as experience how you like the setting.

Customized Teaching Programs:
We prepare special curriculums for specific needs. Whether that means a crash 2 day workshop for a group of students, employees or neighbors that need to prepare on Medical skills or court vocabulary, we can do it! We have worked with many different fields such as dentists, real state, nurses, entertainment artists (celebrities and record labels) and so on.

We can also accommodate a corporate group for a longer and more in-depth class course. We provide the group with materials (curriculum), activities, field trips, role playing and fun yet professional and structured learning techniques.
