Advanced Jewellery Training Course (AJT) - 1-Year Program:
This course is divided into three 14-week modules
This one-year program offers a balanced combination of theoretical principles and skill practice. The course aimed at students who want to enter our MFA program, or achieve a high professional level in jewellery.
The course is is focused on the development of technical skills, research of materials, and new technologies, as well as nurturing the students’ own creativity and imagination.
Participants benefit from individual and group coaching methodologies, a staff of highly qualified instructors, and participation in major national and international exhibitions.
- Subjects include:
Conceptual exercises; Advanced workshop practice; Freehand drawing; Jewellery history; Wax modelling; Goldsmith lab; Painting
- Workshops include:
Connection-transition, one hour jewellery, around a gift, souvenir, delta conspiracy, kid’s drawing, material experiments, wax-workshop, from word to form
- Theory:
Technology, colour theory, jewellery history
In addition to the theoretical and practical lessons the program includes lectures and seminars with goldsmiths and designers of international fame and visits to fairs and exhibitions in Italy and Europe.
Students are provided their own workbench for the duration of the academic year. Students have free access to all facilities during school office hours for the entire school year.
