Japanese Language Classes in NYC:

•  Group Japanese Classes for Adults:
Classes meet once a week for 1.5 hours. Total Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced level. Weekday daytime, evening & weekend Saturday classes.

- Total Beginner Japanese Classes:
During this 8-week course, you will learn basic Japanese vocabulary as well as gaining an introduction to the Katakana and Hiragana script, as well as some very basic Kanji (Chinese characters).

In our engaging and interactive classes, you will build up your basic language skills and improve your conversational Japanese, including learning how to introduce yourself and basic biographical information.

- Above Beginner Japanese Classes:
We can evaluate your current level of Japanese and recommend a class that best suits your needs. Our rolling admission policy means that students above beginner level can join an ongoing Japanese class at any time.

Our Above Beginner classes will focus on developing your basic Japanese conversation skills and grammar. With a maximum of 9 students per class, we ensure that everyone has the opportunity to interact with their teacher and classmates and practice their new language skills.

Our popular language school is located at 146 West 29th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan West Side (between 6th and 7th Avenues, near Penn Station, NoMad, Flatiron, Koreatown and Midtown Manhattan).

•  Private Japanese Lessons:
Taking private Japanese classes allows you to learn at your own pace and according to your own schedule. One-on-one lessons are also the most intensive way to immerse yourself in a foreign language.

You may set up any day or time for your classes, including weekends and evening hours. The lessons may be held at your Manhattan office, home or at our language institute. Students meet with their private teacher from once a week to every day.

Total immersion courses are ideal for people relocating to Japan and may include a cross-cultural training component.

•  Skype / Online Japanese Lessons:
Virtual language lessons mean learning a language from the comfort of your own home or office. No travel time, no rushing to make it to class. Virtual language lessons are one-on-one, private lessons with your own teacher.

You learn a foreign language with an Internet connection, web camera and audio headset. Just log in to Skype and meet your teacher virtually at a time convenient for you.
